Grand Junction and Fruita were encompassed in smoke, not only from California and Durango but from their own fires burning on the nearby Book Cliffs at the edge of town.  It was terrible!  I have never been in smoke that bad before.

We made our way up to the...

Mount Rainier was so incredibly beautiful! Teddy and I can't wait to show you around!  But first, I'd like to share a picture of Mt. Rainier with you that I took from the plane as I was coming into Seattle.

Yes, it's July and that is snow and glaciers.  Mt. Raini...

I was joined at Crater Lake National Park by Betty and Don Neff.  Don is my cousin and they were very kind to host me in their home for two nights.

I was taking a picture...

This section of the journey is very personal.  We took Anna on this very trip when she was 5 years old.  She had such a great time!  For us, it is bittersweet to relive this exact trip.  We see her happy smile wherever we look...and we grieve.

March 26, 2018

Tonight marks one year without the precious light of our lives being with us.  I am posting it exactly at 12:58 am, March 26th, the very moment she left us.  Why? Because her life mattered and she was loved immensely.

Anna gave so much to her world.

She challe...
